I have an aTV 1 40 gig internal hd and 2tb attached external hd. Being that you can not power off the aTV, both the aTV and external drive are always on.

I am not sure of the power consumption that is happening here. Is this set-up using a lot of power? I'm mostly concerned with the power being used while in an idle state (not being used)

Thanks
