Just got a Vizio V series 43” for my causal watching in the kitchen while eating/cooking and it worked fine for a few days. Today out of nowhere, I get a screwed up screen then turns to solid green (see pics). Using the Belkin high speed HDMI cable sold at Apple. Tried all three ports on the Vizio and tried three different HDMI cables. Vizio picture is fine using the stock SmartCast so it seems like something with the AppleTV. Tried unplugging it and still nothing. Any troubleshooting steps I missed? Thanks.

Green screen IS common on 4K.
It is a driver issue over the cable.
There are several things to verify:
  1. HDMI 2.2 compliance ( TV, Cable, Stereo/Sound Bar? )
  2. update AppleTV to latest tvOS
  3. Verify 4K settings in AppleTV

Most commonly fixed by turning off AppleTV and all connected devices for 2 minutes, then restarting.

Many thanks for that. I only have the ATV connected to the TV with a Belkin high speed HDMI (the one Apple recommends for the ATV 4K). I ended up fixing it using your exact method. Unplugged everything and reconnected. Thank you again.
