Hi Guys :)

Apple TV 4k running TvOS14 on LG65C9 OLED.

I followed the instructions on Apple Support (while watching Gravity on iTunes):

But I run into a problem at Step 2.
When I bring up the Video Timeline, swipe up, nothing happens.
There is no button to click, at all.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

(I'm on the 14.2 beta, because I thought it might be better, I was wrong)

14 in general is a bit of a mess.

in playing around, the PiP only shows up if the media is currently playing, but when you tap the touch surface, it pauses, so you have to tap again.

I only have one purchased movie, but I couldn't get PiP to work in the movies app
it does "work" in aTV+, although its a tap on the remote, followed by a second tap to start playing, then trying to select the PiP icon is questionable, sometimes a swipe up, once I swiped down to select it, and sometimes it just winds up scrolling quite a ways forward or back in the movie
The first tap cause it to pause does seem to be since I was using the iPhone remote widget, using the siri remote, it does bring up the button, but trying to navigate to the button doesn't always work.

I hate that apple established one way of things working, and then makes it work differently across different programs
to get now playing info, it was a swipe down, But on aTV+, it's a menu button press on the remote, which in every other app will stop the video and take you out.

or how software update is in general on the phone/iPad, general on the watch, but system on the aTV

Ah I get you. I appreciate the response, it's good to know I'm not the only one.
Re: Movies app not working - thats the one app I was certain it would work for.. Apples own movies app. what a joke.

I'll try a couple more apps tomorrow and maybe we can get it working, I haven't been able to get PiP working in youtube app either, maybe thats Youtubes fault.. but given the movies app isnt even working, I reckon its Apples fault at this stage.

The MacOS and TvOS betas are such a mess for me right now
