Yeah except it s the same ones over and over again

I found a place that made the Ariel screen saver available for the Mac and for Windows machines. They work fine on those computers, randomly changing scenes. Last night the appleTV was on playing music in the background while we played games and it repeated the NY scene over and over again. Hope that it was a temporary glitch.

Earthlapse TV app ($2.99) is pretty cool. Time lapse views of earth from ISS. Looks very good on a big screen TV. Cool sound effects too.

or you can triple tap the tv icon to launch the screensavers vs. waiting ;)
Or you can just tap the Menu button once when the first app is selected on the home screen ;)

EDIT : I have the screensavers disabled because I hate them (all screensavers on any device) so I don't know if this only works for people who have them turned off.

Seems kind of lame to pay for taking a publicly available feed funded with tax dollars and wrapping it an tvOS app.

You mean making something available that isn't available on a platform? Shocking!

I think it's wrong to resell for profit something which is meant to be a freely available public good or service. So, I won't buy it and I will discourage others from buying it. That's all.

Similar to apps that try to sell movies from archive.org. No way, not paying for that.

I had it installed on my 3 Macs until I found our it used 60GBs in one day. I have a 300gb limit on my cable internet had to buy an extra 100gb to get through the month.

Since $100 is pretty much the new $20, $2.99 is practically free.

Turned mine off. What is the point if after a hour the apple tv goes to sleep then all I get is no video message on my screen. The Chromecast keeps the pictures on all the time when not using it.

Why don't you just turn the sleep off then? aTV can do the same, just OOB it is configured to sleep after 1h.
