I have iTunes and an AppleTV. In the Podcasts section, I set "Episodes To Keep" to "All unplayed episodes." Since I have so many podcasts, this deletes all of the podcasts that I've already played and keeps things tidy and saves a lot of hard drive space. I also have audio only podcasts that I sync only to my iPod and therefore do not want on the AppleTV. The problem is that when iTunes automatically removes selected podcasts out of the sync list when it all episodes have been watched and deleted, it doesn't re-check them when it re-adds them back once a new podcast has been downloaded. This means that every day I have to go back into iTunes and re-check all the podcast subscriptions that have been re-added for sync to the AppleTV. This is impractical and extremely annoying. Anyone have a solution to this?
