AppleTV with latest tvOS no audio on soundbar

It seems as soon as the latest tvOS update came through, our Samsung soundbar no longer plays audio through the appletv. It turns on like it normally did adjusting the volume shows it registering the appletv siri remote, but no audio comes out. ive done a restart and force restart (menu + home).

sound bar works with other devices, anyone experiencing odd issues with the latest update?

I've had issue with this as well where no audio output until I restart the device during the beta testing of tvOS 13. I reported this issue and Apple replied to my feedback. I have not experience this issue again in tvOS 13.2 beta so it is quite possible it is fixed in the upcoming 13.2.

If you want to try the beta, you can turn on public beta by going to Settings>System>Software Updates>Get Beta Updates
