About a year ago, all of a sudden my AppleTV quit showing up on my device list. After 3 days with Apple CS and 2 ATV's later, i finally threw in the flag. Well today, I was determined to get it up and running. So I searched, googled, unplugged, reset networks, etc. and nothing would have my ATV show up in my iTunes. After searching this forum all day I found this thread:

Response #3 from CLuv said his was doing the same until he turned his aircard on his iMac, and voila it reappeared. SOOOOOO I turned my aircard back on - and voila, ATV reappeared. The timing would be right as about a year ago, my iMac has been accessing the internet via a Cat5.
My question is this - What the Hell? Why will it not appear on my iMac when i have it plugged into my ethernet, and only via the airport card?
A little background. My ATV is plugged directly into my Airport Extreme which is plugged into a ethernet connection. My iMac is plugged in via an ethernet connection as well. Any insight anyone? Its a pain in the a$$ to go on via wireless as i have horrible reception on this end of the house........ thanks in advance.
