Been having some issues this past week.
My AppleTV cannot sync with my iMac's iTunes unless I reboot the computer. AppleTV will strangely show up as external AirTunes speakers...so I can play a song on iTunes on the Mini and then have it comes through my AppleTV entertainment center speakers, but I cannot use AppleTV's menu to play a song as it claims there is no connection to iTunes to allow access to my library.
AppleTV also has a good, solid internet/network connection, (5GHz 802.11n through airport) so my issue is between my iMac and AppleTV. And yet my iMac certains SEES the ATV, since it can use it as an Airtunes speaker.
I stream all my music, so 'nothing' resides on the AppleTV HDD.
Anyone have a fix or similar issues? A reboot generally cleans up the problem, but after the iMac sleeps again, I would need to reboot.
