AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext anyone?

During update of iOS8 on phone, it let me know after download and before installing that i needed latest iTunes or my iPhone wouldn't work. Held to ransom basically if I wanted to complete install on iPhone.

Anyway, this came up while trying to update iTunes twice. Any idea people?

If you deleted the kext then downloaded iTunes again from here and reinstalled you are good to go and it should not show up in software update.

I've not deleted the kext yet but it's not in update. Should I still do it and reinstall from your link. Must say I don't see any difference other than 'internet'

I would do it just to fix that bug. No harm in doing it.
