I've had to re-initialise my HD and clean re-install MacOSX.3.3 and i have thus reinstalled AppleWorks 6.2 International - the only version I have on disk.

Everything works fine except File Find, which opens hidden under the OSX menu bar and the bottom half of the panel is missing: i.e. it shows only the top half of the Find and replace boxes, nothing below that.

Successive restarts will once in a while bring the panel sufficiently far down for me to grab a tiny sliver of title bar thus allowing me to drag the panel into view. The bottom half remains missing and although there are Red and Amber butons, the Green buton is greyed out.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled AW several times, I've opened new databases in case it was a "preference" hidden somewhere in an old database. I've File Searched the whole disk for all files, hidden and visble, which contains te string AppleWorks and safe deleted them and still the box is only 50% complete and more often than not out of reach.

It happens in Word Prosessing as well as databases but does not affect MS-Office.

What is going on, my friends? How can I get my Find box back? It is a complex 952 record dbase and I use it very regularly - and being unable to search is a right royal pain in the fundament!
