Does anyone know if there a a way to get the "chakra" wheel of Appleworks 6 not to take sop bloody long to spin when you edit. It really eats into my time, and make the program not even worth using? Anyway to salvage this software by modifying a setting?

uh, shakra wheel? you mean the little rainbow "beachball" that spins? that happens when the computer is thinking, it's telling you to wait. Appleworks is, oh yes i'm going to say it, a poorly coded app at this point. Needs to be reworked in Cocoa. So unfortunately, it will be pointlessly slow until the next revision.

if that's not what you're talking about... then... i dunno.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll just guess I'll catch up on my sleep when I'm editing. . . (Hint to software gods!!)
