AppleWorks Database column widths

When using the 'columnar report' format, how may I adjust the column widths individually in AppleWorks Database? I cannot find the answer within AppleWorks Help. (This application seems most user unfriendly compared with the MS Works database wherein one simply dragged the column lines left or right, but I've abandoned MS Windows).
