When I try and print an AppleWorks document, instead of the expected black text it comes out as pale grey.

When I do a print preview it is displayed as black, and when I create a PDF from the appleworks document it prints out perfectly.

It's an infuriating problem, does anyone have any answers?

It sounds like a printer setting was switched, perhaps to print a Draft copy. The settings will often stay as adjusted for me until I change them back to what they were before. Hope this helps, as you did not give a whole lot of information. If you find that works, or find another solution that does, please post it here.

More Info

To add a bit more info this problem only happens in Appleworks. When I print an email or from Office, everything is fine. I've checked the printer settings (Canon MP220), and they are OK also.

I can work around it by creating a PDF from the document, but would like to resolve the problem totally.
