Hi everyone,
In Appleworks (newest version), I have a database file that is 984 KB in size. All of a sudden, when I load the file (or actually ANY AW file), the hard drive is evidently just spinning, as I get the "spinning disk" symbol, and it lasts for about 1 min before any commands (scroll, etc) respond. This is making the program basically unuseable. I tought that perhaps the program needs to be allocated more memory, but I believe that OS X does this automatically, as I'm unable to find a way to allocate more memory. The computer is a Powerbook G4 with 768 MB of memory. All other programs seem to be working fine. Any possible solutions out there? Many thanks for any help.
Jenn
