Application alias's dont retain original icon?

I just did an archive and install of Leopard last Friday and I can't seem to figure out why my applicaiton alias' don't retain their original icon. See image. I made an alias of Cyberduck FTP (with cmd-L).

Anyone else experience this?

OK it seems to happen when I unsuccessfully unmount a dmg (or network drive). If the mount wont go away and then I go try and alias something it'll not give a good icon, rebooting and doing this before a failed unmounting yields a good icon?
