Application bar expanding when mouse on it?

I love how in the apple store, when the cursor is over the application in the big line at the bottom, it turns bigger.

Is there any way to make this happen on my Mac? I have plenty of applications, and it's getting hard to see.

Go into System Preferences - Dock, and adjust the Magnification preference.

Click on the apple logo in the upper left corner, and choose System Preferences.

There may also be a System Preferences icon already in your Dock.
