Hey,

I'm looking for any perfect application (other than in-built mac apps) for taking screenshots with a feature of asking every time where to save it.

I've used the already provided screen capturing tool (Cmd+Shift+4) ... but the captured image gets saved on Desktop. I can change the path using terminal, but every screenshot may or may not be required to save in same folder.

So, is there any application for the same? Like we've in Windows ?

I know you said no built in Mac apps but I use Grab which is the utilities folder. Let's me do selections, or windows and I can save it to wherever I want. Dont know if you know that app exists.

I use snagit as well.

I had used Little Snapper from Real Mac software but they killed it off and replaced it with Ember, I'm not a fan of that, so I moved on to Snagit

SnapzPro for me. It also captures video of on screen actions. Great to show other folks how to do something on there computer or make little training movies.

I still cant get it ?? why would you want to use a third party app when there is already an inbuilt app in the mac to do this, and which does this very efficently ??
