application mail in my macbookpro

Hi,

I never used mail application but because of mobile me i decided to use it again.

I really don't know if i have used it anytime or tryed to remove it but..


Now when i try to open it the application simply appears in the dock, and disappears don't lauching.

Where can i recover this app? I have searched all over my mac.

Go to ~/Library/Preferences/

Delete com.apple.mail.plist

So did you delete it from your dock? I can't really understand the question well.

If you deleted it from your dock, click on Finder>Applications and Mail.app should be in the Applications folder.

If you trashed it from the Applications folder...umm.... I guess pull out your OS X Recovery discs and get it from there?

I think what he is saying is that when he launches mail, it bounces in the dock then quits.

You can use a tool called Pacifist to extract Mail application from the original DVDs that came with your Mac.
