Application Management Software

I’m wondering about programs such as Clean My Mac X and MacKeeper. Does anyone have experience with these or similar programs? I’m looking to streamline what opens up during start-up and having a good way to simply prune applications I rarely or never use and make sure I get every bit of the programs deleted. Thanks!
