So is it just me or is application switching not up to standards in OS X?
We all know the cmd + tab for applications and ctrl + tab for tab switching and cmd + tilda for application windows. Don't get me wrong, this works, but first of all I think it might be a little clumsy, but that's not my complaint per se. What I don't like about it is that it's not visual. Cmd + tab is a little visual, but not enough, and the other two mentioned is not at all.
Wouldn't it be great, if not in Snow Leopard, then just at some point, to see Apple reinvent application handling and switching the way that Apple is known to reinvent things? Wouldn't it be nice if there was some sort of unified switching, visual, fast and intuitive, both when using the keyboard and the mouse? I'm not saying that they should get rid of exposé, exposé's great. But it has no connection to the way you switch applications using cmd + tab and all those. Maybe Apple could find some way to connect them? Or maybe invent a new system alongside exposé so that users could switch any way that they feel comfortable.
Maybe the switching systems doesn't have to have a connection at all, but the point of all this thought-vomiting is: OS X needs a more visual, fast and intuitive way of switching through applications, their windows and the tabs in these whether using your keyboard or your mouse.
But that's only my opinion of course.
Just some thoughts of mine. Comments is welcomed
