iPod touch Application Updates

Lately, I have noticed that the apps updates include Facebook support. I'm curious to why all of them happen to release an update supporting Facebook at the same time. I'm assuming there has been some support release that allows applications to now upload on Facebook. Is that correct?
Ex. TTR 2 now allows you to post scores on FB.

or maybe becuase facebook itself just changed. that is a fact.
