sorry i meant was there one that when i close the lid of my macbook it will stop going to sleep.

Don't know if there's a program that'll do this, but here's Apple's official document on the subject:

i have tried Insomnia and it dosent work with the update 10.4.8 for some reason, if anyone knows of any others please post!
