Applications folder not in user name on finder sidebar

This doesn't only apply to iMacs but in my username link on the sidebar of the finder the applications folder had only about 3 applications in it and the rest were corrupt or damaged as it says. Is this a problem what could I do to get them back in? All of my applications are still in the Macintosh HD folder though. And I know I could just make an alias of the applications folder in Macintosh HD but it shows a link on the folder and it looks weird so what could I do please help?

Um... huh?

Are you talking about the Applications folder in your home directory? That's completely different from the OS Applications folder. Almost nothing installs apps there. Steam does.

Yea in the Home directory is what I'm talking about

Just drag the application folder, or go to Finder Preferences and tick it on.
