This something that it's happening to me for a very long time , different computers and operating systems since Sierra and now on Monterey
when I click on the applications folder it takes me to a plugins folder. I have to come out click elsewhere and click again on the application folder and then the folder will open correctly. Why is that? I don't understand

Where is this Plug-ins folder located?

What do you mean when you say the “applications folder”? Do you mean the sidebar in Finder, the folder in Macintosh HD? Do you have an applications folder in your home/user directory?

yes, when I click on applications on the left sidebar in Finder, instead of seeing the apps I get this plugins folder , it's empty by the way, if I want to see my apps I have to quit the folder and come back to it and then I see all my apps and not this plugins folder.

It's odd I know
