I've had my MacBook Pro for ~2 years and about 6 months after purchasing it, all applications disappeared from the Applications folder when accessed by the Finder sidebar. When I right click on a docked App and select options>show in finder they all appear.

Any thoughts as to why this happened and how to fix it? Thanks!

Drag, or Command-Drag the Applications folder off the sidebar and let go. It will disappear in a puff of smoke. Now click on Macintosh HD on the sidebar, locate the Applications folder that appears on the right and drag it to the sidebar.

Thank you so much!!! I've been searching for an answer on this for so long! Much appreciated! :p
