Applications that uses AMD graphics

I am thinking of buying the new macbook pro 15" and I would like to know which applications use AMD graphics that drain the battery.

Simple applications like safari and vlc never use dedicated graphics?

My old macbook pro was almost always using dedicated graphics when an application crashed, safari and pratically with all non apple applications :mad:
