Applications to create a bootable DVD?

so... yesterday my mac wouldn't boot-up(froze at the spinny circle thingy below the apple). I did get it fixed though... with disk utility off the leopard installation dvd. Now i am wondering if it is possible to create a bootable dvd...
btw, i have tryed clone x 3, but it is way to expensive and there is no "finder" like app...

Clone your Mac to an external drive, using Superduper or Carbon Copy Cloner, and then you'll have a bootable backup.

You wouldn't be able to clone your complete system to a DVD.
