But I am sure you have access to one of the touchbar MacBooks. How has it been so far?

I haven't actually had hands-on with one yet. I'll ask around though to see if any of our folks have one. I know we had at least a handful of people order them, but as far as I know they have not arrived yet.

I have submitted an update to my Still Motion video creation app Glimpses to the Mac App Store, and it should be ready for the first shipments of MacBook Pro devices with Touch Bar next week.

You'll be able to:
- filter and sort your project's photos
- import photos from flickr or Instagram and
- adjust your project's video- and audio settings
all without leaving the Touch Bar.

Glimpses Website (with 15-day trial): http://eternalstorms.at/glimpses
Glimpses on the Mac App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/app/glimpses/id637565340?mt=12

I hope you'll like it :)

hehe. wouldn't hurt... I honestly thought Apple may have some sort of API conversion layer or some sort, so apps would not need to be updated to specifically take advantage of Touch bar support.

e.g in the OS, via an pushed out update only for Macbook with touch bar. that way apps can stay unmodified, and the new call etc, would just be like "if touch bar enabled, do this. If not, function key support.

Perhaps Apple may eventually get to that kinda of stage so developers would not need yto update just for something new Apple added specifically.

Much like programming today, but instead at OS level, not the per-app level.
