Apps and the possible mini

IF there is an iPad mini, would all the current apps work on it? Or would each and every one of them have to be setup for use on the Mini?

If they all work on the Mini, will there be the ability to zoom in? I know of some productivity apps that fill up the 10" screen with small fields and buttons, so it may be hard to use them on the Mini's smaler screen unless you can zoom in to a specific area.
