Apps are closing by themselves iPhone 3G

I have some free apps I downloaded from the apple store and after I sync with my computer those apps close by themselves after I open them. How can I fix this?

I'd do two things, in this order. Hard reset my phone (hold home and on-off switch at the same time until the white Apple logo appears - wait for the phone to restart). If that doesn't do the trick, I'd delete one of the apps from my phone and from iTunes, sync, and then download a fresh copy from the App Store. Sync again. It might be that your DRM is messed up. That happened to me once, and downloading a fresh copy of one application cured the problem for all.

If that doesn't work, then I don't know. But I'd bet the second suggestion will work.
