If I buy an app for 59p with my Visa Credit Card only 59p gets charged like, no hidden costs or commission, no matter how small the price of an app?

I had 39p via a giftcard left in my account and used my credit card to pay the rest, I won't get charged anything extra right.

Sorry but I'm totally new to this.

That depends on whether Apple is required to collect taxes in your jurisdiction. I pay 1% tax on my App Store purchases, whether paid for with a gift card or credit card.

Here in the US I pay 1% tax on App Store purchases. I don't know what you would have to pay, if anything.

Are you really calculating your credit card balance so closely that you must know to the pence?

No but I bought a lot of apps today so was just wondering. Thanks for your help :).

In the uk the cost of the app is the full cost.

And to your question if you had part funding in your account the rest would be debited from your card.

That's not an overall US thing. I pay no additional taxes.
