I've run into this problem before. Hopefully someone has a solution for me. It looks like I inadvertently deleted some apps on my iPhone 13. On my first page 2 apps are gone. I probably hit something by mistake and deleted them. But I don't know what they were. I discovered one was the Clock. I can get it by going to the last page and typing Clock, so it's still there, but I want it back where it was. It's not fun dragging the app through several pages. And I don't know how to make it appear again. Other than going to the App store and downloading it again, which I did. But where the other App? And on the last page which is the collection of all the apps categorized there's a box labeled "Hidden." ?? How do I see what's hidden? Are they there? I can't open it.

Hey there! It looks like you’re just getting started with your iPhone.

If you accidentally pressed the minus button on the top right of the app icon and then hit remove app, it might have disappeared from your Home Screen. No worries, you can bring it back by dragging it out of the App Library or using Spotlight search or Siri Shortcuts to open it.

Just a heads-up: try not to accidentally hit the minus button while you’re customising your Home Screen.

Oh, and that hidden folder? It’s a cool feature that came out in iOS 18 last year. You can use Face ID to unlock hidden apps that you’ve tucked away in the App Library and Home Screen. Great if you don’t want others to see any apps you don’t want them to see in there

Thank you. No I’m not just getting started with iPhone. I’ve had one for many many years. I know all about the minus signs and try avoid deleting. But apparently I made a mistake. I have been unsuccessful in the past to reinstall them. This was the first time I found one and could drag it back. In the past I had to find it by search.

Thanks.

Got it bro. 👊

Glad to hear that

It looks like I don’t have anything hidden. I clicked on it, and I got the green checkmark that indicated that it recognized, but either it wouldn’t open or there was nothing there. Thanks for the tip.
