Apps for Apple's latest Lightning to SD card reader

I have been unable to find apps that would read SD cards with the Apple adapter. I don't want to import photos/videos. I want to play videos and music from the SD card. I know there are third-party hardware with companion app, but none of those apps would work with Apple's adapter.

Any tips on how to get this to work? Thanks in advanced!

no one? I am willing to jailbreak to get this feature. Is there such app?

I bought a PNY Lightning to micro SD card reader which requires their Duo-link app. The device doesn't even work at all. Additionally, the app is total garbage by today's standards. The hardware was nice, but the execution was poor.
