Apps for creative video editing?

Hi, I love making videos but I don't think iMovie is that great for being creative..

I know for PC that Sony Vegas is popular but can you get that on Mac and is it expensive?

Do you know of any other software?

Adobe Premier? FCPX? A quick google search would give you some great answers.

If you know imovie, FCPX might be the perfect upgrade for you, the interface is very similar (Which is what has been annoying the FCP& editors).

If you are serious about editing the programmes to try out are Adobe Premier and Avid Media Composer but both are expensive. Avid studio might be a good option it's a light version of the pro app but I've never used it myself http://shop.avid.com/store/category.do?category=pinnacle-studio
