Was hoping skyrim was available for mac - nope... Hmmm

Any other suggestions for games, ideally offline ones which don't require windows.

What games do you like? The Steam Summer Sale is still on right now and there are some filthy cheap games on there for Windows and OS X. If you plan to install Windows later, which I'd recommend if you want to get going with gaming, you can buy them now even though you're on a Mac.

mostly action games, sci fi genre ideally.

Will install windows eventually but I think I'm going to wait for windows 8.
