Apps not automatically installing

On my apple watch I have the option set to automatically install apps via the watch app "Automatic App Install"

However every time I install an Iphone app via the app store I do not get the accompanying watch app.

the only watch I have were the ones that got installed when I set up the watch.

I'm on latest watchOS

Any tips?

restarting my phone fixed the issue.
