Apps not in iTunes after crash

I had a recent hard drive crash on my 2007 iMac. After replacing the hd, I decided to do a clean install of everything. I reactivated my iTunes account and had it look for purchased downloads. Nothing appeared. I'm not as concerned with the music but where are my apps for my iPod Touch? Is there something I'm missing in regards to getting my apps to reappear in my iTunes?
