Apps not restoring?

I had to reset my phone and set it up again, The issue is all my apps are sitting at "Waiting" it shows the greyed out icon. Its been sitting like that at over an hour now with not 1 app restored. Any ideas?

Are you on wifi? Also photos etc will be restoring in the background and may slow the whole process. If you think it's stalled just reboot your device

Sometimes the the apple servers get bogged down too. Restoring a bunch of apps after a phone restore can take a long time if the internet connection isn't really fast.

It is why I always do a hard encrypted backup on iTunes before doing this. Only takes a few minutes to restore via iTunes.

I done that however it doesn't back up apps, it downloaded them and thats where it got stuck, it took 4 reboots to get it finished and took 2 hours.

sometimes you can keep tapping them and it will force it to download
