Apps not syncing

I got my new iPhone yesterday :))) and synced the pre-downloaded apps from iTunes to the iPhone no problems.

I then bought Super Monkey Ball and Sudoku vis the app store on the phone and despite slecting the sync option when iTunes prompted they have not appeared in iTunes.

What am I doing wrong?
