Apps not transfering from itunes.

I'm not sure if this is an IPhone problem or ITunes problem. I'll try to explain. I've downloaded several IPhone applications into ITunes on my computer (via AppStore). The applications appear in the "Applications" tab in the "Library" section of ITunes. When I select my iphone in ITunes & choose the "Applications" tab there, the downloaded apps appear there also. Here's where I run into the problem. When I try to select an application to transfer over to my Iphone upon synchronization, Itunes wont let me select anything. Everything on that "Applications" page is frozen. The "Sync" button at the bottom works & I can navigate away from that page easily, but I can't do anything on that page. BTW, All music & movies synchronize fine.

Here's (maybe) some pertinent background info:
Its an IPhone 3G 3.1.2 software. - jailbroken & unlocked. Everything works great on it.
The ITunes is v. 9.0.2.25.

Has anybody run across this problem? Can anybody help?
