Apps not working/ Sync seems broken. What is going on??!!!!!

A couple of days ago, I went to sync thru iTunes and it seemed to stop midway through. I thought nothing of it and went to use my phone, only to see that NONE of my 35 apps work. At all. And I lost all of the ringtones that I made. Syncing seems unresponsive and will not allow any functionality of apps. What should I do?

I think I'm going to need to, but what will happen to the apps? Would I be able to re-install the paid ones for free?

everything is still saved in your computer as of your last successful sync. Restore, then it will ask if you want to restore using the existing data or sync all new. Choose your existing iPhone name and you are all set!
