Anybody have this issue?
I am booted into the 32-bit Kernel. This is verified by looking at the system information and the fact that there are other 32-bit application that are concurrently open.
It seems that even though I check the "32-bit" box (in Safari for instance) it still opens in 64-bit mode.
This also occurs with the System Preferences windows. When I try to access a 32-bit preference (ie. Perian, MacFuse, Steermouse) it will say something to the effect of "System Preferences must quit and reopen" (obviously to relaunch itself in 32-bit mode) but it does not reopen.
As before, I even checked the "32-bit" box to force "System Preferences" to start like that every time but to no avail it STILL launches as a 64-bit application. I would like to get access to these preferences as the associated apps are still running (Steermouse is working, I can write to NTFS) but I cannot control them.
Thanks for any help.
