Apps that stick to desktop like Stickies?

Hi,

I'm looking for a notes app that sticks to the desktop in the way that Stickies does. I really like using Google Keep, but I also like having my notes right there on my desktop so I can be reminded of them when I close other windows.

I know Stickies probably does what i'm after, but it doesn't sync across devices, or have mobile version or anything like that, so it doesn't help me.

If there was something like Google Keep or Simplenote that stuck on the desktop - and even was opaque, ideally - that would be perfect.

Does anyone know of anything?

I use AntNotes from the MAS....but it's not free (although there is a free "lite" version"......there's a thread about it here:
