I recently purchased a new ipod touch(4g 64 gb)(replacing a old one 4g 8g) and was was wanting to know how or the best way to install the apps from my old ipod touch to the new one.I have already transfered the apps from the old ipod into itunes.Can i drag and drop or should i sync from itunes. Thankyou

The best way is to probably make a backup of your old device then with the new device restore from the backup. Not only will all the Apps be transfered (assuming the Apps are compatible with the Firmware on the new device which it should as you are transfering to another 4th Gen with most likely the exact same firmware) but you will also keep all your save files for any games you have.
 
Yes. I just did this yesterday with a virgin machine. It now looks exactly like the one I destroyed over the weekend.

Hook it up to iTunes and restore from your latest backup.
