iPad apps using apple pencil

Good evening. Does anyone know of a free app out there that I can use an apple pencil to write in freehand that will go on for multiple pages at a time? My wife likes to write with scribble off so whatever she writes stays in script. Ive tried Notes, Pages and Day One. No luck.
