I know TTR 2.6 has push notifications.. but are there any other apps with it? Maybe we can make a list?

lol its kinda funny how lazy some people are, only a few keyboard clicks away ;)

you know, i've always wondered why people don't search first before creating a new post. You can get an answer straight away, rather than wasting the time posting and waiting for someone to reply.

Even if they don't use search... they could AT LEAST glance down the first page to see if there already is a thread about it there!

TTR 2 is the only one I know of so far. It works quite well though! I'm excited for some other ones to come out. I kind of expect Apple will push through a lot of updates tomorrow.

All you chowder heads who say look on the first page or use search, do so yourself.

There is no thread that covers this topic from the titles seen. I know I have been buzzing around trying to find a relevant thread with actual information on this.

So please stop with the flippant and ignorant suggestions and just walk on by the next time.

Go ahead and do a search for Push Apps here

Look at the massive number of specific threads on the subject.

Seriously.

Does anyone have any information about what other apps might be working with push as early as tomorrow. I am curious about this as well.

I don't understand why people ask questions like this.

How are people supposed to know what applications will/won't be using push? Are we developers that are working on these apps?

It has been said throughout numerous threads that most of the instant messaging applications are planning support.

I'd gather that a few Twitter clients will be on board too.

Add AP News to the list.

But really... Just wait a day and see what's out there. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple had one of those advertisement banners on the front page of the App Store dedicated to Push Notification apps at some point tomorrow.

Just posted this on another thread, but I just got an update for Textfree Unlimited with push notifications. Very psyched! :D

I was referring to apps that are already out. I didn't mention anything about apps that will be coming out this week or sometime soon.

Amen.

LOL, It's kind of funny how lazy some people are, they can't even use proper punctuation and capitalization! ;)

I am not so sure Twitter clients will be the first ones to come online with push. Unless Twitter releases an app themselves, third-party apps are limited to a certain number of API calls per hour. As a result, the third party servers can only check to see if you have new tweets every couple of minutes, so it's effectively more like pull-push.

*bump*

So TTR is a pretty poor excuse for push notifications. Which app will be the next/first to support push?

ugh I hate when people say "ZOMG YOU SHOULD SEARCH BEFORE POSTING!!!!111"
searching almost always brings up a bunch of threads with replies telling the op to search
