Apps won't load on just one profile

On my iMac, running Sierra, I have the following issue.

One just one user profile, none of the apps will load: I get "You can't open the application 'app name' because it may be damaged or incomplete".

One the other three user profiles, all the apps are working fine.

Any clues, anyone?
