I'd like to see the iTunes app start supporting OTA podcast downloads, or something similar from 3rd party.

MSN Messenger
AOL is not really popular in Canada, so the AOL app is useless.

like the first two said:

Wikipedia

OTA Podcast delivery

and let me add:

Google Calendar

Dictionary (One that doesn't cost $30 like the one there, sheesh)

anagram finder - Ianagram?

I would like to see an anagram app that allows you to:
1: enter phone numbers full or partial and get all the valid dictionary word combinations for the letters asociated with a phone number string
2: enter a text string and get all the valid dictionary word combinations from the letters in the string. since the two functions are related the app should ideally do both
That would be a usefull time waster!

not sure how it will work with verizions vcast espn MVp thing they have going on but i would love to see a ESPN app get recent news sportcenter Minute updates Standing live scroe updets bottom line etc. a all in one sports app where i can get updadtes and highlights from all sports in one program i would love that Comon Espn please make this :)

The Google suite. With full Google Docs, Calendar, and Picasa albums. I am not a huge fan of the web interface that Google already has.

Warcraft 2 or 3, come on Blizzard please port these classics.

A Purevolume App with the ability to download the free songs artists offer.

An Elite Beat Agents style game, not like TTR though.

A Hulu application, probably will never happen considering NBC and Apple's relationship.

Also Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam would be great.

I would love to see and application which utilizes the Remote functionality but integrates this into Powerpoint and Keynote that enables you to have a presentation which you control via your iPod touch, i don't reckon this would be to difficult to adapt and I would definitely use it an awful lot for my university presentations.

how about a graphing calculator. something along the lines of the grapher app apple has and a TI-83/84 calculator.

I think a Movie Trailers Application would be really cool. I know you could use Safari for this, but a dedicated application would be much more convenient.

And as Artofilm already mentioned, MSN would be nice because hardly anyone uses AIM in the UK (well my friends don't).

use google mobile app
it comes with a wikipedia search

No, we're looking for a portable wikipedia. One that doesn't require a connection to the "tubes".

I believe I've heard the one available for jailbroken devices is about 2Gig?

ps - The hulu idea is great, though I doubt apple would let something like that since it would bite into their iTunes sales.

If they can do wireless remote control of iTunes, they should be able to do wireless syncing. The only reason I can imagine they aren't doing it is because the Zune folks thought of it first.

Then give me a wireless social app, which finds all other iphones or Touches within your wifi bubble and lets you say "hi", or whatever.

more uk based movie, restaurant, entertainment finder apps.

more apps that allow you to download info when you sync with your computer negating the need for a wi-fi connection.

an Afterburner type game.

some swordplay type game were you have to swipe the screen to slash.
