Is there a website with a list of apps or something? I'm new to the iphone - not sure how the whole app thing works.

Thanks

Or load the app store and browse the top apps by categories.

There are also apps ABOUT apps (i.e., appadvice).

Happy shopping!

Some of those App sites I would definitely disagree with, like AppAdvice gave the Calendar app by Readdle a very high rating, but while the UI looks great, and it does a good basic job, it has come to the game late, and apps like Pocket Informant and Saisuke are just so much more feature filled, but it seems AppAdvice doesn't know that.

I recommend deciding exactly what you want, and then asking MacRumors' members in the iPhone and iTouch forums based on your criteria, what are some good suggestions. It definitely seems the collective brain of MacRumors' members who often are using these apps in daily life (as opposed to a Journalist asked to review, say calendar apps) knows more than App reviewing sites.
