Hi,

I read that AppSnapp had been updated to automatically OktoPrep, so I ran AppSnapp at 1.1.1 and then Upgraded not restored to 1.1.2.

I then ran jailbreak.jar but It came back with an error saying that I had not installed OktoPrep.

I have restored back to 1.1.1 now.

What should I do?

Thanks.

I just tested this, you are correct, AppSnapp does NOT install OktoPrep automatically (even though jailbreakme.com says otherwise).

You need to install OktoPrep from Installer.app before updating to 1.1.2.

does anyone know for certain if iTunes 7.6 blocks OktoPrep? I feel like I've read conflicting reports about this... in other words, to perform a downgrade and jailbreak 1.1.2 (from 1.1.3), would one need iTunes 7.5 in order to properly use OktoPrep?

That seems to be the consensus. I tried twice before I realized I had a powerbook with 7.5. Not a problem after that.

Hi all,

After running AppSnapp, I installed OktoPrep from installer and was able to jailbreak 1.1.2.

Thanks.

7.6 blocks nothing for me.

maybe you mis-read and it meant it automatically offers you the ability to install OktoPrep?

iTunes 7.6 has not prevented me from using Jailbreak applications. (Currently using iTunes 7.6 on OS X 10.5.1.)
